The Greeting Farm

EDIT:  I originally made this card for the challenge over at Young Crafters Unite...I wasn't going to join in on the fun...{because I'm not young...age-wise}....but the owners have invited EVERYONE to participate....so I decided to submit it anyways!...you should go check the challenge out...and help Britta and crew start their new challenge blog off with a bang!!...Good luck...EVERYONE!!!

I bought my first stamps from the Greeting Farm...and I am so happy with them!!...they stamp beautifully...and are really fun to color!!...I guess I was a little intimidated by them...and any stamp that required coloring skin and hair!!...LOL!!...Mine isn't perfect by any means...but it turned out much better than I anticipated!!...here is the peace stamp...{on clearance, bTW....I got her for two bucks!!}...you should go check them out...and see if there are any left!!...I got four rubber stamps plus a digi for like 20 bucks...and part of the total was for shipping!!...not a bad deal at all!!...any how...here's my card!!...

I actually made four more...just like this one...and am working on a box to put them in!!...I had a lot of fun making this set of cards!!

The card base is from CardMakers kit club...it already had the oval punched out...and it has three panels...so behind the image is covered!!...

I stamped the image with Making Memories black ink...I wasn't sure if I could  use Copics with the MM ink...but it worked!!...no smears!!...colored the image with Copics...added Stickles to the peace sign and gems to the flowers in the hair...then cut her out...I used the black Copic to go around the edges of the image...

The Pattern paper is from DCWV's Spring Glitter Stack...I backed the cut-out oval with a piece of the DCWV PP and then used a scalloped Nestie and an oval Nestie...at the same time...and ran it through my die cutting machine to make the scalloped frame...I used Peeled Paint and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to distress all of the edges...

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder and inked one side up with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink...and then laid the card base on it and used a brayer...The swirl stamp is from Stampin' Up's Priceless set...I think...I stamped it on opposite corners with Scrappy Cat's Vanilla Frosting ink...and embossed with white embossing powder....I used ribbon on the corners....

The sentiment is from Hero Art's Sweet Wonderful You....stamped with MM ink...I used a square punch for the banner look....

Have a great night everyone...and you really should rush over to the Greeting Farm and see if there are any stamps left in the clearance section!!
