Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been busy trying to find ways to use the foam sheets my son gave me. He works in a paper factory and brought me a LOT for foam sheets {these sheets are thinner than fun foam}. I have cut some down to 12"x12" to use on my Gazelle. The scraps from cutting them down, I have used to make my own foam alphas! I am loving this because I can customize my alpha sets to my needs! For instants, my DD's name is Amanda, so I am always running out of the letter "A". When making my own sets I know I need to make a lot of the letter "A". I'm sure you get the gist of this...LOL!

I also found a pattern online {can't remember where} for crocheted flowers, so have been making them also. I had a minor surgery on my toe, so have been laid up for the last week or so and needed something creative to do while lying on the couch!

I did get a card done that I will try and post tomorrow. I think I have another Christmas card to post, will look and see.

This is the Christmas card I made for my DS and his new wife. I seen this image and thought of them! This image is from Digital Ink Co. Isn't it just adorable??!! I colored it with copics, I used homemade flower soft {Holly Young made a video on her blog about this! Very cool!}, and sprinkled embossing powder over it to look like it was snowing! I think the PP is DCWV and the ribbon is from my stash. I use Gina K's Luxury CS to stamp and color on. Of the different papers I have tried, I like this one the best when coloring!

Also, check out some of the blog candy listed in my sidebar. I am pretty sure some of them end in the next day or two.

Okay, will try to post my homemade fonts and flowers and my card tomorrow!

Have a great night!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Sorry I haven't been around, but I was so busy getting everything done for Christmas!! I got ALMOST everything done BEFORE Christmas with the exception of a set of cards for my mom (I told her before Christmas they would be late...LOL!) I got all of my cards made AND mailed and I even made everyone in the immediate family an ornament for the tree! I glittered the inside of a clear ornament and then put the name and year on the outside with vinyl. It was the first time I have played with vinyl and I can see myself playing with it more! I was afraid to try it, but it was so easy! I did forget to take pictures of the ornaments.

Here are some of the cards I did for Christmas.

This image is from Squigglefly dot com. Isn't he the cutest little elf?? The image on the inside is from a set of stamps I got from Wal-Mart last year, I don't know who put these stamps out. I was hoping for some more this year, but I didn't find any...:( I am just getting into using stamps {digital and rubber} and copic markers. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE copics! I just need to grow my collection some more...LOL! I made this card for my Great Nephew {WOW! That is so crazy! I can't believe my niece is old enough to be a mom!} On the inside I used these stickers that I have had forever! I just never got the hang of using stickers, I think this turned out so cute!

This image is from Rachelle Anne Miller ~ Mouse Hug ~ I think it is just too cute! Again I colored the image with copics {I need to keep practicing my coloring!!} All of the paper that I used this year are from my stash! I didn't buy any new Christmas paper!! I did buy a few embellishments, and unfortunately I didn't even use some of them! I used my Nesties {Label 1} to attach the stamped image to and then popped it up with pop dots. I glittered the edges with Martha Stewart glitter. I added the fringe {I wish I knew where I got that because I really like it!} That's it! It was pretty simple to make and I enjoyed it! I have always loved to color and now I have an excuse to close myself in my "Crap" room and play!...it just doesn't get any better!

This image is from Digital Ink Co. I again colored with copics and popped it up with pop dots. I wrapped silver embroidery thread around the red CS. I used green jewelry wire for the light strands {it doesn't show up in the photo}. I also used Glossy accents on the light bulbs. I used some Stickles on the stockings for a finishing touch! This card was really fun to make also! I got some Cutter Bee scissors for Christmas, I wish I would have had them when i was cutting this stamp out...LOL! So far I really like them! I have a collection of scissors and the Cutter Bees are the first pair that I own that actually cuts all the way to the end!

I can't find where I got this image from!! I have looked and looked, but can't find where it came from! Sorry to the artist!! I printed this digi stamp twice and popped up some of the petals of the second image with pop dots. I colored it with copics and then added glitter. I wish I would have left the glitter off, but I just didn't have the time to re-do it. I used a Fiskar's border punch on PP and a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the edge of the CS. I didn't like the results of this either, but hey, I tried! I used Bazzill bling CS under the stamp and under the PP.

This image is another great image from Digital Ink Co. This so reminded me of my youngest sister! I had a lot of fun coloring this one! I used copics once again and Stickles on the tree to bling it up a little. I used glossy accents on the heart on the hat and the star on the tree. I used a white souffle pen on the white on the hat. I used a glittered paper under the images that I popped up and the PP has glittered swirls on it. I think this is one of my favorites!

This image is from Digital Ink Co. also. I thought of my niece when I saw this one. I colored the image with copics and used a white souffle pen on the hat and scarf. I also used a yellow souffle pen on the present that the teddy is sitting on. I thought that ribbon was just too cute when I saw it. I got that at Dollar General. i hardly ever find scrapping supplies at the dollar stores, so I was thrilled when I found some different ribbons!!

These images came from Stretch N' Bubbles at strectchnbubbles dot blogspot dot com. I thought these were just the cutest! I colored them with copics and used glossy accents on the star, heart and the reindeer's nose. This card was for my nephew so I tried really hard to make look masculine. I didn't add any ribbon or bling.

This post is already long, so I will end it for today. I have a few more cards to share, but I will wait until tomorrow to upload those.

I hope everyone had a wonderful and Merry Christmas. I hope you were able to it with family and people you love. I lost my dad and my youngest brother this year, so the holiday are a little sad for my family.

Have a great day!
