Lily Pad Cards ~ Simon Says Stamps Texture Challenge

Here is the card I made:

and a close-up:

I made this card for a dear friend of ours!!...She is one of those women that you NEVER see without make-up...and she LOVES to rock her blue eye shadow!!

The card base is from Hero Arts...I ran a piece of Core'dinations cardstock through my die cut machine with an embossing folder...I sanded it so that the blue from underneath showed through...I layered that on top of another piece of the Core'dinations with the blue side facing up...I used a Fiskar's border punch to punch the flowers...I attached the flower border onto the blue cardstock and then sprayed it with Leather Glimmer mist...

The hearts in the corners is a corner punch...I have used it so much that it is actually broken...I just can't throw it away!!...I just have to carefully place the cardstock in it so that I can still use it!!

The oval doily shape is something that I bought...I can't remember who makes it...I'm pretty sure I purchased it at Simon Says Stamps...I used Faded Jeans and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks for the color on it and stamps "Hugs" with Versa Mark Ink and embossed it with white embossing powder...the sentiment is from Hero Arts...

The ribbon, bling and straight pins are from my stash!

Have a great night!!

New card

Here is the latest card I made.

I think I really like this one! The base is Core'dnations. I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and sanded it. I then stamped it with swirls from a Stampin' Up! set and embossed them. For the panel, I stamped the word Love and embossed that with some shiny embossing powder three or four times. I then sprayed the panel with some Glimmer Mist. The brackets are from my stash, can't remember where they came from. The ribbon and brads are also from my stash.

My cards are usually really clean and simple, I really like this shabby look!

Here is another card that I made recently. I ran the image panel through the Cuttlebug using the Floral Fantasy embossing folder and inked the edges. I stamped the flowers three times, colored them with copics and cut them out. I attached some little pearl bling to the flowers and used Stickles on the flowers without the pearls. I used Glossy Accents on the leaves and the butterfly {that I also colored copics}. I used Stickles on the butterfly also. I used some jewelry wire to make the antenna for the butterfly. I stamped and embossed Hello and the leaves on a Spellbinder's oval that I cut out and popped up.

The weather is back to FRIGID. We had a few nice warm days and the snow was gone. We wake up today to more snow and very cold temps! It is suppose to be very cold for the rest of the week....ugh! I am so ready for Spring.

Well that is enough for tonight! Have a great night!

Another Christmas Card

Here is the second card I made. I like this one much better than the first one I posted. Again I used things that I have had for quite some time. I used another DCWV card base, Bazzil card stock that I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on. The PP is scraps from the first card I made. The holly leaf came with some other embellies in a pack of like three different one, but I don't remember the manufacturer. I used a Marvi corner punch and then wrapped metallic silver embroidery floss around the edges. I used some bling and some ribbon from my stash.

For the inside I used more scraps and some silver letter stickers from my stash. I like these letter stickers much better than the ones I used on the first card!

I got three and a half cards done today. I need to take pictures of them. Two of them turned out so cute! The PP I used was just too cute! I will have to upload them soon! I haven't counted how many cards I have done or how many I need to get done, so I guess I don't feel too pressured to get them done {even thought Christmas is coming very soon!}

That's it for tonight. Have a great night!
